County JudgeThe County Judge is the presiding officer of the Commissioners Court and represents the county in many administrative functions. In Brewster County, the Judge serves as the Chief Budget Officer.

The Brewster County Judge has broad judicial duties, such as presiding over misdemeanor criminal cases, small civil cases, probate matters (wills and estates), guardianships, juvenile justice and appeals from the Justice of the Peace Court. The County Judge also serves as the head of Emergency Management.
